Cultural information: "Black Helebore" is a half hardy perennial being hardy to zone 6. During mid summer it produces star shaped reddish-brown flowers held high above the plant. You don't want to get your nose to close to these flowers... the don't smell very good! Plant in partial shade in compost rich, moist or boggy soil. "Black Hellebore" can tolerate full sun if the soil is constantly moist.
