Cultural
information: "Water Mint" can be grown
as an annual plant here in Colorado. When disturbed it's foliage
releases a minty aroma. During the summer "Water Mint"
will produce a flower cluster similar to a Lilac. "Water
Mint" is an invasive plant... but that should not be a
problem here as it is not hardy.
Plant in spring after danger of
frost has passed in pond baskets at a maximum depth of 6".
Leaves can be harvested at the end of the season and dried for Potpourri.
Remove any dead or dying
foliage and flowers as it appears.
