Cultural information: The Hosta family is enormous... containing over 100 cultivars, most of which are man made hybrids. They can be found in several leaf shapes and sizes... as well nearly every shade of green and  variegated types with chartreuse, cream, white or yellow margins. Most all of them will perform well in the shady bog. They tolerate morning sun quite well... but mid hot day sun will burn the foliage. Plant in fertile, boggy or moist soils in partial to full shade.
