information: "Snake's Head Fritillary"
is also know as the "Checkered Lily" because of the
checker board pattern on it's Lily like flowers. Fritillaria
melagris produces bell shaped, purplish, pinkish-purple or white
flowers with purple-pink checkering. "Snake's Head" will
perform best during the cooler months. Plant in full sun to
partial shade in fertile boggy or moist soils.
