Cultural information:  The flowers of "Water Plantain" resembles Gypsophila commonly used in floral arrangements. "Water Plantain" can be planted at the ponds edge or directly in the pond at a maximum depth of 10". Careful thought should be giving before planting as the plant can spread rapidly from seed. Flower heads could be removed before seeds emerge to prevent spreading. Remove dead or dying foliage and flowers as they appear. Caution: this plant can be poisonous.
