Wildflower Field notes: Western Spiderwort is a native plant that is quite common at lower elevations. Look for them in any sunny area in sandy or gravely soil on hillsides or along roadways.

Western Spiderwort is fairly drought tolerant making them a great candidate for the wildflower garden. Your local Garden Center will have several cultivated varieties available during the spring planting season.
