Wildflower Field notes: Night Flowering Catchfly and Bladder Campion are close relatives. The flowers on each plant emerge from a balloon like calyx in the morning, retracting during the heat of the day, and reemerging as the sun begins to set. 

Look for Night Flowering Catchfly in sunny meadows, hillsides, and along roadways.
