Pictured Wildflower: Lesser Wintergreen - Pyrola minor
Wildflower Field notes: Unfortunately we could not find a Lesser Wintergreen with open flowers... just this one in bud. Look for Lesser Wintergreen in moist shady places. The pictured plant was in a small clearing in the pine forest. Lesser Wintergreen can also be found near bogs, streams, or growing in mosses.
