Wildflower Field notes: What a treat it was to find this small clump of Star Flowered Pyrola. Usually the flowers are nodding making it difficult to photograph them... but this clump had three flowers facing upright. Star Flowered Pyrola blossoms are quite fragrant. 

Look for Star Flowered Pyrola in shady areas near bogs, streams or any water source.
