Field notes: Wyoming Paintbrush is very common and easy to
find. It looks similar to Scarlet Paintbrush with the main differences
being Wyoming Paintbrush has narrower leaves and flower petals.
Look for Wyoming Paintbrush in sunny dry areas such as sagebrush flats, meadows,
fields, slopes, and clearings in pine or aspen forests. The
Wyoming Paintbrush is the Wyoming state flower.
