Cultivation:
Plant in partial to full shade in well drained soil. Adapts to
most soil types and tolerates drought quite well. The "Barren
Strawberry" gets its common name from its Strawberry like growth habit.
Propagation:
Seed can be started in a cold frame or greenhouse in early spring
and moved outdoors after danger of frost has passed. For much
quicker growth... purchase pre-started plants at your local Garden
Center. Once established rhizomes may be divided in early spring.
