Cultivation: Plant in full sun in well drained soil. "Russian Sage" will thrive in nearly any soil type providing it is a sunny location. It tolerates drought well... but requires frequent watering until established. Space new container grown plants 30" - 36" apart. Prune plants back to 6" above the soil line at the end of the growing season. "Russian Sage" flowers are excellent for cutting.

Propagation:
Seed is difficult to grow... your best bet is to purchase pre-started plants from your local Garden Center. Softwood cuttings may be taken and rooted late spring to early summer.
