Perennial Cultivation: Dwarf Hairy Penstemon is one of the easiest Penstemons to grow. In late spring it will produce an abundance of tubular lavender flowers with white throats and tips, which can attract hummingbirds, butterflies and bees.

Plant Dwarf Hairy Penstemon in full sun to light shade, in well drained soil. It tolerates most soil types and drought once established. Dwarf Hairy Penstemon is a great choice for rock gardens. The flowers are good for cutting.

Propagation:
Dwarf Hairy Penstemon seed can be sown directly in the ground after danger of frost has passed. For quicker growth purchase pre-started plants at your local Garden Center. Space transplants 8" to 14" apart depending on how quickly you wish the area to fill in. Once established, plants can be divided in spring.
