Perennial Cultivation: Catmint is a low growing perennial that forms clumps 12" to 15" tall. Catmints grayish-green foliage has aromatic foliage that tends to drive cats crazy similar to Catnip.

Plant Catmint in full sun to partial shade. It tolerates most soil types, drought and heat fairly well. Catmint does appreciate mid day shade during the heat of the summer. It thrives in low humidity.

Catmint is a aromatic herb not to be confused with "Catnip". The fragrant small blue flowers attract butterflies.

Propagation:
Catmint seed can be started in a cold frame or greenhouse and moved outdoors after danger of frost has passed. For quicker growth, purchase pre-started Catmint plants at your local Garden Center. Space new container grown plants 12" - 24" apart depending on how quickly you wish the area to fill in. Once established plants can be divided in spring or fall.
