Perennial Cultivation: Plant Manarda in full sun in moist, fertile well drained soil for optimum growth. "Bee Balm" grows well in most soil types. This hardy perennial will do best if it receives mid day shade during the heat of the summer. Bee Balm dislikes having wet feet while dormant. It can spread by self seeding.

"Bee Balm" is well know for its herbal properties. The flowers are excellent for cutting and attracting butterflies, bees and hummingbirds.

Propagation:
Purchase pre-started Bee Balm plants at your local Garden Center. Space new container grown plants 18" to 24" apart depending on how quickly you want the area to fill in. Once established, plants can be divided in spring.
