Cultivation:
Plant Lenton Roses in full sun to partial shade in well drained soil. "Lenton
Rose" adapts to most soil types and is fairly drought
tolerant. Space new container grown plants 24" apart. Plants should be mulched with dried leaves or straw at
the end of the growing season. "Lenton Rose" may re-seed
themselves, but the seedlings will not hold true to the parent
plant.
Flowers are
excellent for cutting. This plant is usually in short supply and
difficult to locate.
"Lenton Rose" is a poisonous plant. If ingested all
parts may cause severe discomfort. The sap may irritate sensitive
skin.
Propagation:
Purchase pre-started plants at your local Garden Center. Be sure
to plant your "Lenton Rose" where you want it. They severely
dislike their roots being disturbed once established.
