Fireweed
Perennial Cultivation: Plant Fireweed if full sun to partial shade in any well drained soil. "Fireweed" is quite adaptable to most soil types and tolerates drought extremely well. Flowers are fair for cutting. 

Epilobium can become somewhat invasive. "Fireweed" can be found growing wild in the foothills and mountains.

Propagation:
Fireweed seed can be started in a cold frame or greenhouse in early spring and moved outdoors after danger of frost has passed. For quicker showing purchase pre-started plants at your local Garden Center or greenhouse. Once established Fireweed plants may be divided in early spring.
