Perennial Cultivation: Plant False Indigo in full sun to partial shade. False Indigo prefers sandy soils but will adapt to most soil types. Space new container grown plants 24" - 36" apart. Cut back spent flower stalks to promote new flower growth.

Cut Indigo flowers are useful in floral arrangements. Dried seed pods can be used in dried arrangements.

Propagation:
Seeds can be started in a cold frame in early spring. Plant seedlings outdoors after danger of hard frost has passed. For quicker results... purchase pre-started plants at your local Garden Center. Once established plants can be divided in the spring... but their slow to recover.
