Houseplant Cultural information: There are over 1000 species of Peperomia's disbursed across North, Central and South America. Most of the commercially available species are easy to grow.

Peperomia's usually are available in 6" containers or smaller. Care is basically identical for each species. Place your plant in bright filtered light. Water when the surface of the soil is dry to the touch. Feed monthly with a balanced liquid fertilizer. Stem cuttings of non-ripple leaf types can be rooted in water or vermiculite. Place the tip (the area the leaf the stem is attached to) of the leaf of a rippled type in moist potting medium. A new plant will emerge from the end of the plant similar to how a "Jade Plant" is propagated.
