Houseplant Cultural information: The "Century Plant" is an easy keeper. The Century Plant inherited its name because it is said that they bloom once every 100 years. If your lucky and your social security doesn't run out... you may see your Century plant bloom.

Blue Agave needs all the light you can give it. Place your plant in direct sunshine. Strong southern exposure, sunrooms, or greenhouses are recommended.

Water Century Plants about once every 2 to 3 weeks applying enough water so that water runs from the containers drain holes.

Feed quarterly with Peter's Plant Food available from our houseplant sponsor.

Very few pests affect Blue Agave. On rare occasion I have seen Foliar Mealy bug.

Agave Plants can be found in 6" containers thru large 14" specimen plants. They are very slow growing so be prepared to fork out some dough for a nice plant.
