Cultural
information: "Common Oleanders" are usually
available during the spring and summer. They can be used outdoors
during the summer as a patio plant. Be sure to bring indoors
before first frost. Their vibrant flowers will cover the entire
canopy of the plant. Check for water daily when used outdoors.
Indoors check for water 3 times per week until you've become
accustomed to it's water needs. Nerium can consume a lot of water.
Water this plant very thoroughly... allowing a small amount of
water to sit in it's saucer.
Feed monthly during the spring and summer. During the winter
months feed bi-monthly if the plant is growing. Propagation by
stem cuttings is difficult. Oleanders are available in small
6" pots thru large specimen plants in the form of bushes,
trees (standards), braids and spiraled trunks.
