General Cut Flower Care: Keep the vase water of your Spray Roses fresh. Clean vase water is the key element in maintaining a long vase life with Roses. Replace the water daily with cold water keeping the water level near the top of the vase.

Re-cut 1/2" from the base of each Spray Rose stem under water using a sharp knife with each water change. Spray Roses should be dipped in QuickDip after cutting to help prevent bent neck. Remove any foliage that may become submerged after re-cutting.

Variety note: Spray Roses are an inexpensive alternative to small headed Sweetheart Roses. Spray Roses have multiple flower heads per stem, usually three or more. Spray Roses are very popular used in boutonnieres or corsages for high school proms, home comings, and weddings. Spray roses are available in cream, oranges, pinks, reds, white, lavender and several bi-colors. Spray roses are sold in a 10 stem bunch. They are available in several height sizes from 30cm to 60cm. Today most Spray Roses are imported from California and South America.

Add a commercial floral preservative such as AquaPlus or FloraLife to the vase that contains your Spray Rose with each water change. Floral preservative helps to prevent bacterial growth, aids in keeping vase water clear, and feeds your flowers and foliages insuring a longer vase life.

If you run out of commercial flower preservative you can make your own fresh cut flower food mix 1/2 teaspoon of table sugar to a quart of cold water... mixing thoroughly.
