Floral Greens Care: Keep the water in the vase of your
Variegated Ramnus fresh. Replace the
water every 3 days with cold water keeping the water level near
the top of the vase.
Re-cut 1/2" from the base of each Rhamnus stem
using a sharp knife with
each water change. Remove any foliage that may become
submerged after re-cutting.
Variety note: Variegated
Rhamnus is a
great choice of fillers to use in your Christmas holiday
decorations. It is festive brightly colored foliage and
reddish-brown stems will add life to any arrangement. Rhamnus
woody stems are very easy to work with. In the wild the plant
grows clusters of yellow-green flowers followed by round red
fruits.
Rhanmus is a long bunch usually measuring 28" to 36"
in length. It is sold in 10 stem bunches.
Add a commercial floral preservative such as AquaPlus or
FloraLife to the vase that contains your Variegated Rhamnus with
each water change. Floral preservative helps to prevent bacterial
growth, aids in keeping vase water clear, and feeds your flowers
and foliages helping to insure longer vase life.
If you run out of commercial flower preservative you can
make your own fresh cut flower food mix 1/2 teaspoon of table sugar to a
quart of cold water... mixing thoroughly.
